Today I'll be busy putting the finishing touches on my office makeover. Yes, that's right. I started yet, another project!! But in all honesty, this room really did need to be done before I get back to the kitchen. My office IS the place I spend most of my time, and lately this room has left me less than in inspired. I'm pretty happy with the results-and I can't wait to share them with you all!
With that said- my daughter, Mel has offered to guest host, and will be sharing some pics of our-'soon to be' grandson's nursery!
Enjoy!

Hello everyone! It's Mel! Remember me? Yes, I know. It's been a long time since I guest hosted or even updated my page, here on mom's blog! Well, I hope I can rectify my long absence, by sharing some special photo's with you all today!
As you know,(mom can't keep a secret to save her soul!)-Andy and I are expecting a baby in January! Ever since we found out in May, it's been a whirlwind of announcing the news to family-visiting hospitals and day-care providers, as well as, trying to get our home organized and prepared for our little one.
The first step in doing so, was cleaning out one of our spare rooms and starting with a clean palette.
Since we'd recently painted this room, and still loved the color (Talavera-Pittsburg Paints), all that we really needed to do was figure out what we needed for furniture, and decide on placement.
Once we figured that out, it was time for some shopping!!!!:)
We purchased a crib, changing table and a rocker at Pottery Barn Kids.

And to add a little POP of color, I chose this ottoman that I found at Target.
We've added a few shelves above the changing table, and as you can see, they are already getting filled up!
I haven't decided on any bedding yet..........
But I did find this quilt I had in storage. My grandmother actually made this for me when I was a baby!!!
Of course you all know how excited mom is to be a grandma, so it shouldn't surprise you that she's already picking out a few things, herself!
Like this binky (that's what she calls it-I call it a blanket).
Mom is all about tradition, and according to her, I carried one of these around for far too long when I was a baby. I don't know about that, but it sure is cute!
I guess that's it for now.
We've only just started putting it together, so I promise to come back real soon and show you the final reveal!
Have a great weekend!
Mel
