Nothing says 'SPRING' to me- quite like the smell of cherry blossoms-and the taste of this YUMMY Cherry Crumble!
One bite of those tart cherries and buttery crumble topping-with just a hint of cinnamon, takes me back to my FAVORITE vacation spot- Door County, Wisconsin. I LOVE everything about Door County!! The antique shops-the quaint cafe's-the people-and yes, the FOOD!
Especially cherries-and you can find them EVERYWHERE. You can even pick them yourself at many of the orchards. Which is what I did. But even better-was tasting all the different cherry recipes that were offered at almost every restaurant during the summer months. One of my favorites was Cherry Crumble.
Unfortunately, cherries are not widely available this time of year- here in our neck of the woods. So, over the years I've had to improvise. Funny how a little 'improvising' can still taste OH SO GOOD!!!
Here's the recipe! I hope you enjoy!
Blessings and hugs,
