I say huge, for two reasons. #1-we are working with a very 'limited' budget. Limited, meaning-very, very, small. #2-we live in a 100+yr old home. Which means-anything that CAN go wrong, WILL go wrong. That is exactly what happened when we began the process of tearing down the drop down ceiling.
Needless to say-we opened a MAJOR can of worms, and everything had to be put on hold, until hubby could come up with a budget friendly solution.
Thankfully, hubby did just that-and our plans for the kitchen can finally be put into motion.
Today I'm taking a look back at all the inspiration I found months ago-and putting my focus on four 'key' elements that I LOVE (and hopefully get) in our kitchen!!!
Here they are....
1. Open shelving. Although we have plenty of cabinets for storage-I definitely want to incorporate open shelving to not only display some of my treasures, but also to get that unique 'farmhouse' look that I adore!

| Source 3. Lighting. Although any light fixture would be an improvement over the florescent eye sore that is in our kitchen now- I'm really loving these gorgeous pendent lights!!! |

| Source 4. Back splash. Since our cabinets our white (and our counter tops will be as well)-I'm looking to add a splash of color in the back splash. I'm head over heels in love with this green.... |

But this neutral palette is equally beautiful!
