Obviously hubby wasn't too thrilled about taking me on another tour of the countryside, after what happened the last time!! But, with a little convincing, (I promised him a Dairy Queen blizzard afterwards) he finally agreed to take me-as long as I agreed to his two conditions...1. I was to give him PLENTY of warning this time, before I wanted to stop for a photo op. And 2-he could listen to the football game on the radio. I wasn't too happy about the second one (I'm not much of a football fan), but the first condition seemed pretty reasonable, so I conceded, and we were off!
Everything was going along quite smoothly-as we meandered up the hill. Hubby was listening intently to the Viking's game, and I was gazing out the window at all the breathtaking sights around me.
And then it happened. I gave the warning signal. I yelled, "STOP!"
You know that old saying, 'if looks could kill?' Well, let's just say I got out of the truck before I could find out!
Once I returned, hubby made the rules of his first condition very clear! "A simple tap on my shoulder, or point of your finger, will suffice as a warning to stop!!!"
Well why didn't he say so in the first place??? Geesh!!
Other than a mild case of whiplash-the next few stops were without incident. As you can see from the above photo-that 'little' window of opportunity for catching the glorious fall colors, was slowly closing! With the recent wind we've been having, many of the leaves have already fallen.
But those that remain are truly breathtaking- don't you think?
By mid afternoon, we were pretty close to the farm, so we decided to stop in and take a short break.
I snapped a few more photo's there, while hubby helped mom with a quick chore.
The season for color is coming to close, so I'm sure hubby is happy because he won't have to take me out again. But not to worry-the Christmas light tour is just around the corner!!!!
I'll be sharing at these amazing parties-so stop on over and be inspired!!!
