Sensational Sunday Love Links!

Today I am going to shout out some MAJOR Love for two- very special-very classy ladies, who, since I started to blog in January, have given me so much inspiration, and have truly been HUGE mentors!!!  Both of these ladies have been involved in the world  of 'blog land' for sometime now, and because of their creativity and indeed, their warm personalities, have gained a large, faithful audience.

You could say that everything they do-turns to GOLD!


 So, grab your favorite beverage, find a comfy seat, and be INSPIRED!


First- Marty over at the blog, A Stroll thru Life,  who LITERALLY did turn something into gold!

How 'ingenious' of an idea is this, to turn a plain old vase into something so truly elegant!! Of course, Marty knows all about elegant,(as her entire home surely reflects), and even better-her tutorial on creating this masterpiece is SO simple that even I can do it!!!


Next, is Rhoda, whose blog- Southern Hospitality was the very first blog I started to follow when I joined blog land.  The first thing that drew me to Rhoda's blog was her design style, but than I took a peek at her page, 'Blog Story', and I couldn't help but shed a few tears at her heartwarming story of life's up and downs, and how she found the hope and inspiration to get through it all. It truly is a MUST read for everyone, but especially those, like me, who are just starting out in the wonderful world of blog land.  Now, on to how Rhoda inspired me this week.

 These striped curtains she just recently painted!! I have been searching high and low for a pair of striped curtains for my dining room.  The problem is-all of them were priced WAY out of my limited budget.  Who knew I could make them myself?  Well, Rhoda did, and  once again, her tutorial made it sound so easy, that I'm running out today for the materials needed!
