Treasures in the Garden

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day!

Hubby spent most of the day working on his toys (Trans-am and Jeep),  to get them ready for some summer fun.

I, on the other hand, could be found in the gardens-pulling weeds!!!!  (Funny how those nasty little buggers catch up with you if you don't keep at them!)

But it wasn't all that bad, because I did find some treasures along the way!

After I finished pulling all those troublesome weeds- I started pulling out some of my treasures (junk) to display on our porch and back deck.

I don't know what it is about these old, worn and rusty pieces that makes me so happy....

All I do know is...home just wouldn't be home without them!

Every year Mel always buys the prettiest hanging baskets for me on Mother's Day!

This year was no different-it just came a bit later than usual, since we are on vacation!!

Did I happen to mention that my lilacs are in full bloom??? (Te he!)
