Junk Garden

Hello everyone-I'm back!!!!  Our vacation to Oregon was wonderful, and I will have many photo's to share once I have edited them!!

Coming back from vacation was easy this year, all thanks to my mom!  I can't thank her enough for picking up the house, doing laundry, and watering all my herbs and plants!!!  Love you MOM!!!

The morning after we arrived home, I took a nice long walk around the yard to check out the gardens.  I was so happy to see that I hadn't miss much blooming.

 The tulips and daffodils are out in our front-side garden.....

 And the catnip and lilies are starting to fill in nicely.


I was a little disappointed that I didn't have time to do any container gardening before we left on vacation, but it ended up being okay that I didn't.  Mom mom said it was very cold while we were gone, and she had enough to do think about with Bentley, never mind bringing in my flowers!!!

So, yesterday hubby and I went into town to pick up groceries, and I couldn't resist buying a few of my favorites, and planting them in my junk garden out back.

 Petunia's have been planted in the window sill of my garden shed....

 Along with some Portulaca, which, when it grows, will look lovely draping over the edge!

Pansies add the perfect touch to my old kettle, rusty wheelbarrow, and fence buckets.

The Hostas and Hydrangea bush hubby and I moved last Fall are coming along nicely!

Soon they will  have all that 'empty' space filled up!!!

The back yard is coming along-but there is still more work to do.  I'll be picking up some hanging baskets this weekend....

And hopefully I can get rid of THIS table-(that is- if hubby remembers what I wanted for our anniversary!!! Cough, cough!)
