Decorating Outdoors

I realize I have WAY too many irons in the fire now.  With all the projects indoors yet to do + work, writing, and school, the last thing I should be doing, is daydreaming about more projects outdoors!

But,  I can't help it when the temperatures have been 60+ these last two days!!!

I know once the snow is all melted, there is going to be a lot of clean-up to do. The grass needs raking and seeding.  The vegetable garden needs to be tilled....and on and on it goes.

The great thing is- the sooner I'm able to get all the work done-the sooner I'll be able to enjoy spring, and eventually summer.

Which is why I've been daydreaming about quiet nights on the porch and back yard barbecues today.  (What? You didn't think I was daydreaming about weeding gardens, did you?)

Hubby and I spent the first night of the season,Sunday, sitting on the porch swing, sipping a cocktail, and chatting about all the plans we have for the nice weather.

Of course-while hubby was going on about getting the Harley out of the garage, I was discussing how we could make our outdoor spaces, (specifically our porch), just a bit more cozy this year.

I'd never thought to add curtains on our porch-but what a wonderful idea!  Can't you feel the warm summer breeze-blowing through the curtains right now?  I sure can.  Bentley would love that soft, blue pillow to lie on too!

On the opposite side of the porch- I'm sure hubby would love this hammock!

But I was thinking more along the lines of entertaining space.  Like this....

It was pretty easy to get hubby on board for updating the porch.  For one-we pretty much have everything these dream porches have-(low budget). Secondly, he kind of likes sitting on the porch with a HAPPY wife!

Until tomorrow- Happy Tuesday!
