DIY Wall Art

Ever since we repainted the guest bedroom, I've been looking for 'just the right' art work to fill up the empty white walls.  Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find anything that fit both of my requirements.  (Inexpensive and cheery.)

Until now!

Hubby and I were at Target this weekend-and as I was searching through the clearance items (FIY-Target always displays these on the end of the isle.)-I found this set of 4 napkins for $2.99!!!!
The wheels in my  head starting churning really fast!!!  The grey matched perfectly with the paint color on the chair rail, and I absolutely love the yellow!  Talk about cheerful!!!

Once we arrived home last night-it didn't take long for me to put my plan into action!  First, I measured one of the napkins. (I'm happy to say 'these' wrinkles were easy to make disappear!  I just spritzed the napkin with a little water and placed a warm towel from the dryer on top of it.)

The second step was wrapping the napkin around a square piece of styrofoam.  (I had some leftover from another diy project.)  I stretched the fabric as tight as I could-and secured it with pins.  (You could also use fabric glue-but I didn't have any.)

One down- two more to go!!!

One wall is finally done, and all it cost was $3.00-and twenty minutes of my time!!!
